Effective 1 July 2010 all Filipino citizens working and
residing in Macau whose passports are expiring or due to expire may now avail
of the application for ePassport. The
documentary requirements are the same as application for green or machine
readable passports.
For renewal of application:
1. Copies of old passport pages (bio page and
visa) and Bluecard/Resident ID
2. Duly
filled out ePassport application form
3. Fees:

PHOTOGRAPHS ARE NO
LONGER REQUIRED as the picture of the
applicant will already be taken by the photo and data capturing machines
including signature and thumb print at the Consulate General’s Office.
The Philippine Consulate General in Macau celebrated National Day at the Macau Tower on 11 June, 2010, with a cocktail reception for government officials, Hongkong and Macau consular corps, Filipino community leaders and other dignitaries from Macau SAR.
The Philippine Consulate in Macau
continues to repatriate victims of illegal recruitment after a spate of such scams by a Philippine group
with ties to Macau.
However, according to local NGOs, some
victimshave willingly overstayed,
looking for jobs. Tickets provided by the consulate have remained unused.
In the meantime, a legal desk has been
set up in the consulate for general legal matters.
